Atlantic Tele-robotics
In the remote Inuit community of Nain, Newfoundland and Labrador, patients do not have regular access to doctors. The Government of Canada and partners are piloting a robot doctor to help improve access to health-care for Aboriginal people. This remote-presence robotic system has been installed at the Nain Community Clinic. Tele-robotics employs new technologies that have the potential to revolutionize the way health-care is delivered to Aboriginal people living in remote and isolated communities.
